Visibility temperature
Also known as: visibility reading, temperature reading
A single number between 0 and 100 degrees describing how much of a page a search engine or AI answer system can actually observe and use.
A visibility temperature is the blended result of four separate readings: Search Visibility, AI Discoverability, Technical Accessibility, and Content and Entity Strength. Each is scored as a percentage of its own available weight, then combined 30/30/20/20 into one figure.
It measures only what is observable from a single public fetch of a single URL. It is not a ranking, not a prediction, and not a grade.
The most common misreading is treating it as a target. A brochure page for a local plumber at 55 degrees may be doing everything it needs to; a publisher competing nationally at 55 is in trouble. The number describes the page. You supply the context.
The second most common is comparing two temperatures taken months apart and concluding something changed on the site. Response time alone is worth 8 points inside the technical reading, and servers have bad afternoons.
